​Michèle Sebag, alumna of the famed Ecole Normale Supérieure in Maths, received her PhD in computer science from Université Paris-Dauphine and her Habilitation from Université Paris-Sud. She holds a Senior Researcher position at CNRS since 2002, she is co-head of the Machine Learning and Optimization group (CNRS, INRIA, Univ. Paris-Sud) since 2001, ECCAI Fellow since 2011, head of the European steering committee of Machine Learning and Data Mining since 2015. She is elected  member of the French Academy of Technology. Her research interests include Statistical Machine Learning, Deep Learning and Stochastic Optimization.
